Women Who WanderCabin & Day Hiking RetreatNovember 2-4th 2007 Cost: $295 Who is this trip for? This is a perfect weekend get away for the woman who loves to hike, but hates to sleep outside! We'll stay at a cabin where we will have the comforts of home such as a bed, showers, and kitchen to cook fabulous meals in! What kind of activities will we be doing? The intent of this weekend retreat is to enjoy making new friends, to spend some time relaxing and reflecting, and of course hiking. Friday night we will spend time getting to know each other, cooking dinner, relaxing and perhaps take a moonlit stroll. Saturday we will take a moderate, beautiful hike in the Alpine Lakes region wilderness and Sunday we will go on a short easy hike after breakfast, before heading home. We'll also be doing several short reflection/writing exercises. Other than that, think laughter and lounging! What is the fitness level of this course?Active. We want our trips to be inclusive to all types of women who enjoy the outdoors. On this trip our day hikes will be easy, but will include some elevation gain. You must be able to hike for 4 miles. We suggest that all participants spend some time walking or hiking several weeks prior to the trip to prevent injuries. Where are we going and how will we get there? We will be carpooling from Olympic Outfitters, downtown Olympia on Friday at 12pm. We will spend Friday and Saturday night in a cabin near Roslyn, WA. We will be back to Olympia mid afternoon on Sunday. Back to TopWhat do I need to bring? This time of year the weather could be variable.
